Residents of the Asante Akyem Central Municipality have raised GH₵300,000 towards the purchase of a new fire tender for the area following a Town Hall Meeting and Fundraising Ceremony held at Wesley Methodist Church in Konongo.
The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Rev. Dr. Ebenezer Ekow Aidoo, who chaired the event, used the platform to give an account of his stewardship to the municipality. He also led by example with a personal donation of GH₵50,000 to kick-start the fundraising exercise.

In his address, Hon. Rev. Dr. Aidoo stressed the urgent need for a fire tender to improve emergency response and protect lives and property in Asante Akyem Central. He appealed to citizens, corporate bodies and philanthropists to support the initiative.
