Two young men have reportedly been arrested after visiting a police station to deliver food to their brother, who was being held in custody.
According to reports circulating on social media, officers searched the food package and allegedly discovered two large stones hidden inside portions of banku intended for the detainee.
The unusual discovery immediately raised suspicions among officers, leading to the arrest of the two visitors for further investigations.
How the unusual discovery was made
Police officers routinely inspect food and other items brought to suspects and detainees in custody. During one such search, the banku brought by the two men was reportedly opened and examined.
It was during the inspection that officers allegedly found two sizeable stones concealed inside the food.
While the exact motive remains unclear, the discovery prompted authorities to detain the visitors and investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Why police became suspicious
At this stage, there has been no official explanation regarding why the stones were allegedly placed inside the banku.
The incident has therefore generated widespread speculation, with many Ghanaians trying to make sense of what appears to be an unusual attempt to deliver food to someone in police custody.
Some social media users suggested the stones could have been intended as a weapon, while others jokingly proposed more humorous explanations.

Social media users offer hilarious theories
The bizarre nature of the incident quickly attracted attention on X, formerly Twitter, where users flooded comment sections with jokes, theories and speculation.
One user, Quams (@Quame_selorm), joked:
“They are testing the waters, if the stone works, the actual thing will be transported.”
Another user, Chart Guide (@chase_fiat), questioned whether the stones were intended to help the detainee attack someone and escape.
IBRAHIM SUMANA (@gazzyhjsjsbsh) offered a more humorous defence, suggesting the men may have unknowingly bought the banku from a roadside seller who had somehow placed the stones inside.
Others proposed even more unusual explanations.
Bright A. Dadzie Anderson (@B_A_DAnderson) speculated that the detained brother may have requested a weapon because he was being bullied inside the cells.
Meanwhile, Ayigbe Jet-Li (@AyigbeJetli) jokingly suggested the stones could have been intended for traditional games such as Oware.
Several users simply expressed disbelief that anyone would attempt to conceal stones inside food being delivered to a police station, noting that security checks are standard practice in detention facilities.
Questions remain over the purpose of the stones
For now, the reason behind the alleged concealment of the stones remains unknown.
Authorities are expected to determine whether the act was deliberate and, if so, what the intended purpose may have been.
Until then, the unusual case continues to attract attention online, with many social media users treating the incident as one of the more bizarre stories to emerge in recent days.
