Ghanaian highlife and Afrobeats artiste KiDi has confirmed he is no longer signed to Lynx Entertainment, bringing an end to a relationship that played a major role in shaping his rise to mainstream success.
The award-winning singer made the revelation during a TikTok Live session with content creator Code Micky, where he responded directly to questions about his current label status. Asked whether he was still with Lynx, KiDi was brief but clear: “No, I am no longer with Lynx.”
He further disclosed that he is now operating as an independent artiste, marking what appears to be a new chapter in his career. According to him, the transition had been in motion for some time, beginning to take shape around the release of his collaboration “Gymnastic” with Olivetheboy and Kojo Blak.
KiDi’s exit closes a significant era in Ghana’s contemporary music landscape. He joined Lynx Entertainment in 2016 after winning the 2015 MTN Hitmaker competition, a move that quickly set him on a path to national and international recognition.
Under the label, he delivered several hit songs that became staples on radio and playlists, including “Say You Love Me”, “Enjoyment”, and the global breakout hit “Touch It”. His projects “Sugar” and “The Golden Boy” further cemented his reputation as one of the most influential voices in modern Ghanaian music, earning him awards and cross-border acclaim.
Even after stepping into independence, KiDi has continued to maintain strong visibility. His latest release “Signature”, featuring Lasmid, is currently receiving steady airplay and performing well on streaming platforms.

Known for his smooth vocal delivery, strong songwriting and broad appeal, KiDi has built a loyal fan base beyond Ghana’s borders. Over the years, he has collaborated with international acts and contributed to the growing global reach of Afrobeats, a space where his presence remains firmly established.
His move into independence now sets the stage for a new phase, one that fans will be watching closely to see how he reshapes his sound and brand outside the Lynx umbrella.
