Residents in parts of Accra are being urged to remain cautious after the Ghana Meteorological Agency forecast more rain and thunderstorms across sections of the country today amid ongoing flooding concerns in the capital.
According to the weather outlook, mist or fog patches are expected to form this morning over forest, mountainous and some coastal areas under partly cloudy skies. Thunderstorms and rainfall are also expected to affect parts of northern Ghana and the transition zone, while intermittent rain is likely over a few coastal and inland communities.
The latest forecast comes at a time when several areas in Accra have already experienced flooding over the past few days following heavy rains linked to the peak of the rainy season.

Communities that have reported flooding incidents in recent days include Adabraka, Odawna, Weija, Kaneshie, the Adentan-Dodowa enclave, Oyarifa, parts of Tema, Circle, Mallam Junction, Dansoman, Kasoa Old Barrier and Accra Central.
